“So one of my favorite spots in Tampa, funny enough, I found during the pandemic. It was a local spot I took for granted being it's only a few miles from my house, the Ballast Point Pier in South Tampa. This place has provided me with much solace and refuge. It has become the perfect place to start my day and ground myself. The best part is it's free, and the views differ daily.”

“My absolute favorite place to visit in Tampa, especially with my husband on a date is Oxford Exchange. I am obsessed with the food, the coffee, and the aesthetics - it's an entire vibe.”

“I love to grab an Iced Maple Latte from SuperNatural Food & Wine and then head over to The Tampa Riverwalk for a chill stroll along the Hillsborough River. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cool breeze and be sandwiched in between the gorgeous views of downtown and the University of Tampa on either side of the river. It’s also wonderful for people-watching— there are always lots of people rolling by on their bikes, hanging with their families, walking their dogs, and more. This little outing makes me feel connected to my city.”

Tampa Theatre is one of my absolute favorite places in Tampa. It's so much more than a movie theatre, it really is a centerpiece of the community. I grew up going there on field trips to see live theatre, dear friends have been married there, and I've seen Casablanca more times than I can count as part of their annual Summer Movie Classics series. I love going with friends who have never been before and watching their faces as they walk through the lobby and into the theatre for the first time - it's always breathtaking!”

“As a tourist in Tampa, I have two spots I always try to visit when I am in town. For brunch I love Datz. It’s yummy & has saved me from a Florida downpour.

Second, a hidden gem is Cuenelli's Rotisserie Chicken & Grill. A spot for Peruvian food right next to the airport. I always stop by before my flight out.”

Boston, MA

Blue House Florals is a sustainable florist for weddings, events, deliveries and workshops. They are an organic garden + design studio offering seasonal flowers. Kali is a wonderful human and she is such an inspiration to grow your own cut flowers in Central Florida. I first found out about her when I was dropping off my compost scraps to locations in St. Pete when I was renting before I started my business. Suncoast Compost was her first business. She later spoke at a Creative Mornings event. Last year, I went to one of her private How to build a bouquet workshops, and included was a tour through her garden. Her business is a must try!

Oxford Exchange is another fave! It’s a coffee & tea shop, restaurant, bookstore, and event space nestled in an old bank that’s been renovated beautifully. I live in St Pete and the closest thing to this experience is Intermezzo and Station House, so when I head over the bridge to Tampa, I try to make this one of my stops as an inspiration trip or lunch stop."
