“I manage my productivity through planning for the week ahead each Friday, theming my days to batch client work together and time blocking myself each day for maximum focus. These are the 3 ways I stay on top of everything, balance my time out (including allotting time for unexpected tasks or calls) and never feel burnt out (well, mostly).”

“Having worked a 9-5 job previously, I try to work within those hours if I can. Even on a slow week, there are always things that can be done. I also recognize that I am most productive between 8-12. Sometimes I do think I can be better at separating my personal and business to do lists, because often times I'll switch gears throughout the day! I think the best way to keep from overdoing it is to allow yourself a break every time you cross something big off your list and create a schedule for weekly working hours.”

“I’ve started time blocking to keep myself on track with my schedule while keeping my priorities at the top of my list.”

"While taking a good look at why I wasn't making more progress a few months ago, I discovered that the biggest hindrance to my productivity was my mismanagement of outside demands. I allowed emails, phone calls, and people's last-minute requests to dictate my time. While I began each day with my own task-list, my progress was thwarted by my habit of catering to others' urgencies. That's when I decided to be more vocal about notifying clients of my working hours, and I grew more comfortable kindly voicing boundaries by saying things like, "I'd love to help you with this, but I'm not going to be free to really dig in until tomorrow. " So far, it's been a total game-changer."

“Most of my organization is online, but one of my most productive tools is my planner. At the beginning of the week I write out my appointments, goals, tasks and thoughts. Organizing everything in one place helps keep me focused and productive.”

“My word for 2020 is: intentional
If I keep thinking of this, it will help me stay focused and crystal clear and on what I want and need! By staying calm and focused I will be productive instead of spinning my wheels and going in a million different directions.”

“For productivity hacks one thing I do to keep on task is use Wunderlist to brain dump all tasks that are pending. I can then prioritize and re-organize. I also use a couple apps including Forest where it locks your devices so you don’t lose focus from what you intend to do. I have fallen down the trap of mindless social media scrolling when all I wanted to do was check one thing. I also use Slack to help with communication so instead of emails pack and forth it’s a quick message to clients for a much faster response time.”
