Meet Real Estate Advisor, Brittany Ranew!

Say hey girl hey to a fab biz owner we know you’ll love! Brittany Ranew is a Real Estate Advisor who understands the stresses of relocating from one state to another, as she herself did in 2015 when she moved from Alabama to Florida with her husband, Stephen and their two golden retrievers, Piper and Parker.

As a real estate advisor with years of experience, Brittany enjoys helping other families make a smooth transition and fall in love with Tampa Bay as quickly as she did. She understands that finding the right home is only part of the equation - it's also important to feel connected to the community. That's why she takes the time to get to know her clients and their needs, so she can offer tailored recommendations on the best neighborhoods for them to consider.

Brittany loves being a part of the Tampa Bay community and looks forward to helping more families put down roots in this vibrant and growing region. Enjoy getting to know Brittany!

Tell us about yourself and what you do!

I'm a local realtor who specializes in helping people fall in love with the Sunshine City! Being a transplant myself, I love being that bridge to the community for my clients and making sure they feel at home in every sense of the word. Additionally, I have a podcast that helps do just that! It's the St Pete Soul Podcast and highlights local businesses and tells their stories, helping others discover all the fun St. Pete has to offer.

How did your business begin?

In 2013, after getting laid off from my corporate job, I had already had an event planning business as a side hustle. This abrupt life change gave me the courage to branch out on my own and pursue a career in real estate which I had secretly been interested in for quite some time.

What's 1 challenge you've faced and how has it effected your business? What did you do to overcome it?

The biggest challenge I faced was not believing in myself! For many years I let imposter syndrome and fears get in the way of reaching my potential.

What's 1 success you've had since you’ve created your business? How do you feel when you look back on it?

I've built a consistent business of repeat clients and referrals. As a commission-based business, the idea of consistent, repeatable income seemed impossible to me when I first started in real estate. But looking back, I realize that I was just letting scarcity mindset rule my thoughts instead of abundance!

What's the best piece of advice you could give someone looking to start a business?

Find a mentor or a coach. With accountability and encouragement, we are so much more likely to reach our goals and not give up when things get tough, which they will! Constantly working on our mindset and self-awareness are big keys to a healthy business.

What's a pivot you've made in your business?
Making sure I'm focusing on the highest and best use of my time and delegating the rest.

When are you at your happiest?
When I'm creating, writing or making fun videos– anything to get the imagination going and make something fun or beautiful.

What do you tell yourself when things get difficult?
That I've proven to myself time and time again that this is not a fluke. I have created the life I want and will continue to do so with small, daily actions.

What is 1 personal goal you've set for yourself this year?

To mediate on a regular basis. My goal is weekly.

What's 1 business goal you've set for yourself to accomplish this year?
To double my business from last year.

What's the first thing you do on a Monday morning and why?

I start every day with gratitudes and affirmations. It gets my mindset in the right place with positivity and abundance.

Where can you be found + what will you typically be up to on a Friday night?

My husband and I love to eat out at our amazing St Pete restaurants so you'll probably find us at one of those spots, probably at Wild Child, or if the Rays are in town, we are likely catching a game with our Season Member tickets.
