Insight Timer is THE BEST! All sorts of meditations along with a timer or if you prefer to do a silent meditation. It keeps track of how often and allows you to interact with friends if you like to as well. And you can get to know different mediation coaches and follow them. THE BEST!”

“I used only to be able to meditate after yoga, but now I have brought more meditation into my daily practice. My college thesis was on how meditation releases creativity, and somehow I got away from that. Thankfully I have discovered a new app, Balance, that personalizes, educates, and builds different meditation skills. I have incorporated it into my morning and/or nightly routine. My local South Tampa YMCA also offers an amazing Monday Guided Meditation class that has awakened clarity and connected me more to my intuition.

I also used to journal only when I was trying to process something. I started reading "The Artist's Way, " accompanied by a corresponding journal called The Morning Pages. It was a great tool that got me back into daily journaling. I loved the prompts throughout the journal. After finishing, I have kept it up, journaling dreams and morning monkey brain thoughts to help clear my mind before the day starts.

I also love The Women's Mediation Network Podcast. They are short-curated inspirational mediations are free.”

“I started doing The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod over a year ago and that has helped me tremendously with my meditation and journaling practices. The Miracle Morning is a morning routine based on Hal's book that comes with an app to help guide you. It incorporates many things including meditation and journaling daily so that you set yourself up for an amazing day, which leads to amazing weeks, months and years! I have also found the Insight Timer app is a great resource for guided meditation and other calming music to clear the mind and de-stress.”

“Meditation and journaling have played an important role in my mental health journey over the last 2 years and is a practice that makes me feel in alignment with myself. I have tried different guided meditations and music, my favorites have been from Goddess Hangs, on the Calm app, and on Youtube. I love pairing my meditation with journaling right after and a year ago I saw a TikTok video of this woman explaining how she scribble journals so she can move through her thoughts much quicker. This technique of scribbling completely changed my relationship with journaling because I can write so much more without my hands getting tired on me and fully move through my thoughts. Plus if I scribble something I want to actually look back on, I write it legibly somewhere on the page or sometimes I’ll even write a quick summary thought or breakthrough moment at the end. This has been a game changer for me!”

“About a month ago I downloaded an app called Asana. It is not free, but to me it's been worth it. It helps me track my water, meditate if I want to or what I use it for mostly, doing some yoga every morning and other times during the day so I'm not sitting at my computer too much. It also has recipe ideas, challenges, and information about health & wellness. Overall has been a great investment.”

“I love Youtube for meditations! My current favorite channel is Great Meditation, they have a lot of 10 minute videos which are perfect to start the day. For journaling, my go-to prompt is: What am I desiring if I'm totally honest? That always allows me to open up and explore what's calling to me both personally and professionally. Plus, it gives me clear focus points to prioritize so I'm not just working on autopilot but what truly matters to me.”
