Our Values Statement

Babe Crafted strives to manifest a creative and non-judgmental culture of collaboration in which women business owners can connect with each other, learn from one another, feel safe to share their biggest wins and their greatest fears, and be supported in building the business and life of their dreams. Our top priority is providing spaces and opportunities for all members to feel truly seen, heard, & welcome. We treat our members with respect and practice kindness and gratitude; as a community that is built on authenticity and trust, we expect members to treat one another with respect, kindness and gratitude. Babe Crafted serves women who wear lots of hats, including: CEO, mama, sister, wife, friend, leader, and more. We support women in their whole selves — across race, sexuality, class, belief, ability, age, net worth and life stage.

At the same time, we acknowledge that those priorities are challenging and that we aren’t perfect. We may not always know the right answers, and we will all make mistakes along the way. Babe Crafted seeks members who are willing to recognize their capacity to learn, grow and evolve, individually and collectively. Babe Crafted commits to prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion in our mission, our events, our spaces and our community. Specifically, we host events and issue-based workshops and provide support and resources throughout the year that help women build confidence, relationships, and visibility. We acknowledge that making our business and our spaces diverse, equitable and inclusive is an ongoing process of progress, and we commit to holding ourselves accountable and improving when we fall short.

The dream of Babe Crafted, from the beginning, was to elevate the voices of women entrepreneurs, who were likely to receive less attention and energy, and have fewer opportunities to join communities of mutual support, than their peers who were men.  As our mission was originally intended to address the problem of systemic sexism, the time has come to say clearly that Babe Crafted stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and the struggle against systemic racism, hatred, and injustices of all kinds. We stand in solidarity with everyone fighting to end the dehumanization and marginalization of all people of color. We stand in solidarity with everyone fighting to end sexism on any front and the marginalization of women. We stand in solidarity with everyone fighting to make the world better for all people. And we stand in solidarity with those demanding change and accountability in our culture, in our political system, and in our own work and lives.
