Tell us about yourself and what you do!

I have an amazing husband, a fantastic kid, and a super fluffy dog. I love to travel, am slowly becoming a crazy plant lady, and am fluent in tv/music references. I believe burn-out is NOT a badge of honor, differences are meant to be celebrated, and businesses need community just as much as people do.

How did your business begin?

The most influential person in my life is my 8-year-old son; he has made me who I am today. Being his mom, his advocate, his safe space, and his biggest cheerleader has completely changed my view on life; and, by extension, work.

My business began like most do; when need met desire. Being free to drop everything because of a single phone call became necessary: but also empowering! Finally, I had the power to choose how I spent my time. I prioritized my family without a second thought— no need for a permission slip or to clear it with the boss.

My mission at SRC is to help as many people as possible; bring joy back into their business and choice back into their lives. I use my passion for systems and love of problem-solving to enable them to live their life by design, pursue their passion, or foster a time-free life.

It's your life; you should get to choose how you spend it!

What's 1 challenge you've faced and how has it effected your business? What did you do to overcome it?

Does being a business owner count? Juggling life and business in and of itself can be a struggle. When you catch yourself uttering the phrase “When I finally finish this _________, things will finally slow down” more times than you can count, it’s time to make a change.

So, I made a pivot, dove headfirst into creating my signature process for uncovering your Unique Efficiency Style, made a commitment to myself to seek time freedom, and haven’t looked back!

What's 1 success you've had since you’ve created your business? How do you feel when you look back on it?

I feel inspired, proud, and eternally grateful when I realize I have helped my clients save 20+ hours a month, increased their productivity 10-fold, and built the systems that allowed them to finally delegate and take a day off after years of doing everything themselves.

What's the best piece of advice you could give someone looking to start a business?

If you find yourself doing ANYTHING more than once, create a template for it! It will save you countless hours and a whole lot of headaches.

What's a pivot you've made in your business?
When I started my business, I was a Client Experience Expert helping my clients set up their CRM platforms. It expanded from there as I realized I had more to offer than I was currently providing to my clients. Now, I help them set up all six essential systems every business needs as a Systems Strategist and Fractional COO.

When are you at your happiest?
I am happiest when I'm with my family, whether that means exploring a new place or enjoying a lazy Sunday morning. They are my happy place.

What do you tell yourself when things get difficult?
“It is what it is.” I say this phrase constantly, but it reminds me that I cannot control everything. All I can control is my reaction to the scenario. Everything works itself out in time, even if it is not a time frame I necessarily appreciate.

What’s 1 personal goal you've set for yourself this year?

To travel more. We’ve taken a few short trips around the U.S. this year, but in November, we will be headed to Europe.

What's 1 business goal you've set for yourself to accomplish this year?
To hire a team. I am currently a solopreneur. By the end of this year, I want to have at least hired one team member.

What's the first thing you do on a Monday morning and why?

Coffee, always coffee. I start my mornings slow because I am committed to living my values, and one of the things I value most in this season of my life is time freedom. I mean, I built a whole business around it. But, by starting my morning slow, I set the mood for the rest of my day. I give myself time to breathe and just be.

Where can you be found + what will you typically be up to on a Friday night?

On Friday nights, I embrace my home-body tendencies and spend time cuddled up on the couch with my family, pizza, and a glass of red wine for our weekly Movie Night.

Finish These Sentences:

My go to karaoke song is... A quiet one. I’m that lame friend with stage fright that sits in the back cheering you on!

My signature drink is… A classic Mojito.

My favorite quote is... "Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life." -Dolly Parton
