Tell us about yourself and what you do!
I am an organic/local SEO wizard, business mentor, and female empowerment coach.
What is the best way to describe how all of this intertwines?
I believe behind every female-owned business; there's a story. I use coaching to help women own it. SEO and Business Mentorship to help them use it to their advantage to build their business while teaching them to navigate all the ups and downs with come with BEING a mom/wife/sister/mother, etc.
In a nutshell, I AM who I needed five years ago when I left my marriage and was running a business as a single mom.
How did your business begin?
It began after I needed nerve repair surgery on my hand a little over a year ago... I started out doing SEO and copywriting. I figured I had a lengthy social media background and an MBA, and probably should put it to use.
The coaching part- well, that's a little more personal.
I am a survivor of Domestic Violence and noticed a pattern among female entrepreneurs in my orbit.... too many had stories like mine but didn't know how powerful that made their intuition and in many ways, their businesses.
I help female entrepreneurs overcome insecurities and take charge of their mindset. I specialize in Narcissistic Abuse and identify as a trauma-informed coach.
What's 1 challenge you've faced and how has it effected your business? What did you do to overcome it?
Figuring out how to navigate kids+work, then I realized I am the only one driving this train. I get to say what works for me and what doesn't.
What's 1 success you've had since you’ve created your business? How do you feel when you look back on it?
I honestly believe the Universe sends you the tools you need; you just have to keep your eyes open. Oh, and if it feels wrong, just don't do it. Your gut never lies.
What's the best piece of advice you could give someone looking to start a business?
Filter the noise. Everyone has an opinion. Start with what YOU know best, then go from there. There IS such a thing as too much information. While I believe in always remaining a student, your intuition will be your superpower. Harness that before you start taking on the advice of others.
What's a pivot you've made in your business?
Adding coaching. Too many women need mindset help to be really successful and don't dig into that part.
When are you at your happiest?
Holding my baby boy as he goes to sleep, drawing with my 12-year-old mini me, and celebrating client wins... ESPECIALLY when they reach goals they didn't think they could.
What do you tell yourself when things get difficult?
There's a lesson here. Pay attention.
Whats 1 personal goal you've set for yourself this year?
To lose 40-50 lbs.
What's 1 business goal you've set for yourself to accomplish this year?
To retire my husband.
What's the first thing you do on a Monday morning and why?
Workout. It clears the cobwebs and lets me get my mind right.
Where can you be found + what will you typically be up to on a Friday night?
Hula Bay or anywhere on the water with my family listening to live music.
Finish These Sentences:
My go to karaoke song is... “Beautiful Trauma” by Pink.
My signature drink is… Margarita lol. Although I don't drink often.
My favorite quote is... “I've always loved the idea of not being what people expect me to be.” –Dita Von Teese
