"We host Christmas Eve Game Night and invite ALL- family & friends.

Everyone brings an appetizer to share and we put attendees in groups and let them compete in fun games with prizes. The games are for all ages so it's a blast to see a 9 year old compete with a grandmother. The house is filled with so much laughter and it's one of my favorite nights!"

“My mom makes the best latkes for Hanukkah, and for Christmas my dad makes Swedish dishes from his family that are my favorite! We usually do Swedish pancakes for breakfast which are like crepes".”

“My favorite tradition that I did not grow up with, but started myself, is to do a Christmas Eve gift to my husband and kids. This started when he and I were dating and his children were much younger (ages 3 and 7), and the Christmas Eve box always included new pj's, a couple new Christmas movies, and lots of snacks. It was the only gift that got to be opened early, and then we'd spend the evening in our new jammies watching movies together. Now that they are older and not as inclined to spend couch time with us, I miss this a lot!”

“My favorite holiday tradition is decorating our Christmas tree! My Husband & I have a tinsel-covered tree my Dad gave us and two giant boxes of sparkly and sentimental ornaments we’ve collected during our 12-year relationship. Each ornament has a story to tell, whether it’s one my Husband made when he was a little boy, or one that we picked out on one of trips together.

Some of our newest ornaments are a cheeky fabric, beaded alligator with a Santa hat on that we bought at Oliver Bonas on our October 2023 trip to London and a glass ornament with glittery details of the Grand Canyon National Park entrance sign from our January 2023 trip to see this amazing World Wonder. I’m currently 7.5 months pregnant and can’t wait to decorate our tree in the future with our daughter. I also can’t wait to pick out ornaments that catch her eye in the future so she has some favorites to add to the tree, too!

"Christmas is our favorite time of the year! As a family we have two favorite holiday traditions and they make this time of the year ever so special. First, we love picking a real Christmas tree with our 4-year old son, then decorating it while watching the movie ""Elf"" the day after Thanksgiving. Second, we get together every year with our immediate family for brunch the morning of the 25th and open our gifts together, the requirement is you must be wearing Christmas pajamas.

...and to you, a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!”

“My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas pajamas! Ever since I can remember my mom has always given me and my sister a new pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve. As kids, we would joke that Santa would not visit us if we didn't sleep in our PJs! To this day, we keep that tradition!”
