Kicking Off 2019 with Bubbly + Vision Boards
Being surrounded by likeminded women who are kicking butt in their business, building families, & taking care of themselves is magical.
Nobody’s perfect, but getting ambitious, creative, positive energy together to help one another grow is amazing. This was the vibe of our 2019 Member Welcome Event this month at Whim So Doodle. We encouraged members to B.Y.O.V., and as you can see from these photos by Jessica Fredericks Photography, they definitely brought some vision to the table. Cheers to 2019!
Thank you so much to Rollin’ Oats for being our Community Partner! The tasty snacks & refreshing bubbly we enjoyed at the Member Kick Off Event can be found at their Tampa & St. Pete locations.
I’m so pumped to finally have one of these rad signs! Our events just got more inspiring, babes. This quote from the incomparable Maya Angelou was the perfect way to introduce members to the night (and year!) we had planned for them.
Before we jumped into a live Q&A with mother daughter duo, Jill Orobello & Tayler Rothwell (pictured above), we asked each member to introduce herself, her business, & share what her word for 2019 is. It was inspiring to hear what word each woman had chosen to focus on for this year. Here they are:
Ilana Karcinski of FairyTail Pet Care - Travel
Rana Tierney of Roohi Photography - Patience
Brooke Eversoll of Bee Studios - Me
Theresa Chu-Bermúdez of Get Out! Custom Travels - Progress over perfection
Jessy Furniel of Adélie - Own it
Tayler Rothwell of Whim So Doodle - Intentionality
Jill Orobello of Whim So Doodle - Restore
Alicia Geigel of Alicia Makes - Stick-to-itiveness
Amanda Evans of Tight Ship Bookkeeping - Efficiency
Tona Bell of The Paper Seahorse - Light
Heather Ferrill of Ferrill Construction - Balance
Sophia Rodriguez of Haley Boutique - Brave
Christina Jones of Christina Jones Photography - Growth and streamline
Andrejka Hirschegger of Andrejka Photography - Content
Heather S. Saunders of Ameriprise Financial - Opportunity
Nelani Palomino of 11th Owl - Redirect
Stephanie Boutell of BOHO Beauty House - Quickbooks
Caitlin Alessandro of Doyle Paper Co. - Growth
Jess Fredericks of Jessica Fredericks Photography - Strength
Crystina Castiglione of The Messy Painter - Intention
Our Q&A with Jill & Tayler was wonderful because you could see the amazing bond they have with one another. Whim So Doodle is a business built on family and community and we’re so grateful to get to hear how the shop came to be, what keeps these two women inspired, & what their advice is for other entrepreneurs.

Crystina Castiglione of The Messy Painter is finding what speakers to her for her vision board.
Rana Tierney of Roohi Photography has found something lovely for her vision board (pictured above). Shout out to Alicia Geigel of Alicia Makes for giving us some pointers on creating a vision board. Then everyone got to work— and by work, I mean sipping bubbly, getting to know one another, and snipping words and images from all kinds of magazines that resonated and could be a good fit for the final piece. I loved seeing each member’s board come together. After everyone had wrapped up, we went around the room again and everyone shared a bit about their vision board and what they see for themselves, their businesses, & their families in 2019.

I had a stroke of inspiration when it came to shooting some fun video content, too! I asked each member to stand in the same spot in the workspace and pose with her board so I could get a quick clip of each babe. When I pieced them together and added some music it was totally magical! I loved being in the room that night because there’s nothing quite like connecting face to face, but getting to experience the event in different ways once the event has taken place is special too. There’s so much story to tell and this video is just one piece.
Have you met Doug, Whim So Doodle’s amazing shop dog? He just turned 5 and he’s as sweet as can be. If you feel licks during a workshop at WSD, that’s just Doug saying hello.

I hope you’ll feel encouraged to create your own Vision Board after reading this and feel free to tag us on social media so I can check it out & cheer you on, too. Have a wonderful week & cheers to 2019!
